Collecting petitions to qualify for
the ballot. Stuart Beach, Florida. Not easy! ... Yet, I
FINISHED ON AUG. 25, 2015
- With expected rejects due to
errors and omissions, I will need more than 4,850 petitions
(most likely around 6,000).
- Wal-Mart, Winn-Dixie, Walgreens,
Publix, ... ask you to leave their parking lots. The only good
place is the beach, confronting the heat. I'm in
excellent health, yet at 66, I would have preferred to do just 1000
petitions, and more respect, and more understanding from
establishments! It is not a hobby, it is a Federal
requirement to qualify for the ballot.
- It is -though- a good way to meet
a lot of your future constituents. On average -counting
refusals- you need to ask to sign 8 times as many (48,000 people).
Harsh! It will take me a year to reach that level.
Deadline is April 4, 2016. I'll get there!
- This is why 85% of our Congress is
made up of millionaires. They skip this whole process by
paying $10,000.
- If you are the incumbent, or if
you ran unopposed in the primaries, then money starts flowing soon,
otherwise no much money will be seen until after the primaries in
August of 2016.
